  Katie Meyer was WITF’s Capitol Bureau Chief from 2016-2020. While at WITF, she covered all things state politics for public radio stations throughout Pennsylvania. Katie came to Harrisburg by way of New York City, where she worked at Fordham University’s public radio station, WFUV, as an anchor, general assignment reporter, and co-host of an original podcast. A 2016 graduate of Fordham, she earned several awards for her work at WFUV, including four 2016 Gracies.
  
  Katie is a native New Yorker, though she originally hails from Troy, a little farther up the Hudson River. She can attest that the bagels are still pretty good there.

The midterm elections are less than a month away, and for Democrats in particular, this November 6^th is going to be crucial. Nationally, the party has a real shot at regaining the House majority for the fist time since they lost it in the midterms eight years ago.

Pennsylvania lies at the center of that goal. Democrats have to flip 24 seats to take the House, and 6 of those could realistically come from here in the commonwealth.

Joining us to explain which congressional races to watch is Associated Press political reporter Marc Levy. Public radio reporters Lindsay Lazarski (of WHYY) and An-Li Herring (of WESA) will also give their input on a couple of interesting, individual races they’ve been following.
