4pm: This event has ended. The coverage below is a recap.

Vice President Mike Pence is visiting the Lancaster Airport in Lititz as part of a “get out the vote” effort ahead of the midterm election.

The stop will be his second in Pennsylvania today. He started his afternoon campaigning for Republican John Chrin in Scranton. In Lancaster, Pence is stumping for U.S. representatives Lloyd Smucker, Scott Perry and Lou Barletta.

Smucker’s 11th district is not considered a toss-up. But the remapped 10th district is less conservative and some polls put Perry’s Democratic challenger George Scott within a point of victory.

Barletta’s engaged in what’s widely considered an uphill battle to unseat incumbent U.S. Sen. Bob Casey.

Meanwhile in Scranton, Pence took a moment to condemn the attempted attacks against former President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, CNN and others.

Editor's note: Static text has been updated to reflect U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta attended the event.
