5:59pm: This event has ended. The coverage below is a recap.
Former Vice President Joe Biden is stopping at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg to stump for Democrat George Scott just two days before voters head to the polls in the toss-up 10th Congressional District.
Governor Tom Wolf, Attorney General Josh Shapiro, Auditor General Eugene DePasquale and State Representative Patty Kim are also slated to be at the campaign event.
The 10th district is still considered red under the redrawn congressional map, but the race between Scott and incumbent Rep. Scott Perry is close enough to garner national interest and major support from both parties.
Biden says don’t let the GOP take Congress, or he believes there will be serious cuts to Medicare and Social Security to clean up the deficit the 2017 tax cut bill has created.
Notes that the election of Scott would represent the first time since 1964 since voters in York County (and Cumberland) have sent a Democrat to Congress.
