(Washington) — Midstate Republican Congressman Scott Perry, a member of the House Foreign Affairs committee, heard testimony from Alexander Vindman on Tuesday.

He spoke to NPR’s Steve Inskeep on Morning Edition this morning about the impeachment inquiry.

Inskeep posted two highlights of the interview on Twitter:

Perry  was part of a group of Republicans who briefly brought the Democrat-led impeachment investigation to a halt last week when they stormed into a closed-door deposition with a Defense Department official. Democrats said the move compromised national security because some of the Republicans brought electronic devices into a secure room.

GOP lawmakers have been outspoken about their disdain for Democrats and the impeachment process, saying it is unfair to them even though they  — including Perry — have been in the room questioning witnesses and hearing the testimony.

Perry represents the 10th District in the commonwealth. It covers all of Dauphin County and parts of Cumberland and York counties.
