A total 133 Pennsylvanians have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, according to the latest update from the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Today’s total includes 37 new cases.

Two central Pennsylvania counties today joined the growing list of places where the disease has been reported: York County has two cases and Berks County has one.

Earlier today, Lancaster General Hospital announced it is treating someone for COVID-19. This case is not included in the latest data from the state, which recently began updating its statistics only once a day.

Cumberland County was the first midstate region to report positive test results, where there are 10 people who have the disease. No additional cases were announced in the county today.

The majority of cases continue to be in the southeastern corner of the commonwealth.

All patients are either in isolation at home or at a hospital.

“Pennsylvanians have a very important job right now: stay calm; stay home and stay safe,” Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said in a news release. “We have seen case counts continue to increase and the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is stay home.”
