If the U.S. Supreme Court overturns the landmark abortion rights ruling Roe v. Wade the future of abortion access in Pennsylvania is unclear, but experts say state law would not immediately ban it.

One of the first issues where they differed was how to address climate change.

Republican David McCormick has frequently touted his decades of business experience on the campaign trail, but voters may have a false impression about the number of local jobs he created.

The complaint filed by last week claims David McCormick spent more than $2 million on ads without registering as a candidate. The Federal Election Commission states that individuals should register as candidates when they spend more than $5,000.

The former congresswoman is the only woman running in the large GOP field of candidates.

Shortly before Casey’s remarks, the U.S. Department of Labor reported that consumer costs for food and other necessities rose again in November, as the country’s inflation rate grew to 6.8%. That increase makes for the highest inflation the country has seen since 1982, and it is driven heavily by spikes in the cost of energy, housing, and automobiles.

The court also heard testimony from a woman who has cared for the family for more than a decade, who said she never witnessed any physical abuse.

The longtime lawmaker said he hopes his early decision will encourage others to run.
